IOC releases 2010 Evaluation Commission Report




The International Olympic Committee (IOC) today released the report prepared by the Evaluation Commission following its visit to the three Candidate Cities to host the XXI Olympic Winter Games in 2010 - Vancouver (CAN), Salzburg (AUT) and PyeongChang (KOR) 1.



The Commission, chaired by Gerhard Heiberg, IOC Member and formerly Chairman of the Organising Committee of the XVII Olympic Winter Games in Lillehammer in 1994, spent four days in each Candidate City (see dates below) to conduct on-site analyses and assess their ability to stage the Olympic Winter Games.



 



The dates of the visits were :



PyeongChang: 14 to 17 February 2003



Vancouver: 2 to 5 March 2003



Salzburg: 13 to 16 March 2003

The Evaluation Commission will make a final report to the 115th IOC Session in Prague on 2 July following the presentations of the three Candidate Cities and preceding the vote for the election of the Host City of the XXI Olympic Winter Games in 2010.
