IOC President Meets with President of Mongolia
The President of the International Committee (IOC), Dr Jacques Rogge, today welcomed the President of Mongolia, H.E. Mr Natsagiin Bagabandi, to the IOC headquarters in Lausanne. The two Presidents spent time discussing the future of sport and the Olympic Movement, together with the various programmes proposed by the IOC to help countries around the world to promote the local practice of sport.
The Mongolian President, who visited the IOC as part of his official visit to Switzerland, was accompanied by Mr D. Tsogtbaatar, Foreign Policy Advisor; Mr G. Ganbold, Ministry of Foreign Relations; H.E. Mr. H. Bekhbat, Ambassador of Mongolia in Switzerland; Mr D. Boldbaatar, Advisor to the Ambassador, Mr Shagdarjav Magvan, IOC member; and Dr Demchigjav Zagdsuren, President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Mongolia.
Mr Christophe de Kepper, Chief of the IOC President's Executive Office and Mr Pere Miro, NOC Relations and Olympic Solidarity Director were also present at the meeting.
Following the meeting, the Mongolian delegation visited the Olympic Museum.
