IOC President at FIS Alpine World Ski Championships and USOC HQ in Colorado

IOC President Thomas Bach attended the opening ceremony of the FIS World Ski Championships, alongside the organisers and skiing legends past and present.

IOC members Anita DeFrantz and Angela Ruggiero were also there, as well as USOC CEO Scott Blackmun.

On the opening day of competition on Tuesday, the President was able to see the Women's Super G competition.

He congratulated FIS President Gian-Franco Kasper and the local organisers for an excellent event.

Later, the President headed for the US Olympic Committee headquarters in Colorado Springs, where he met athletes at a training centre. Later he spoke at a reception at the USOC headquarters, along with USOC President Larry Probst and CEO Scott Blackmun. He also met the head of the Boston 2024 Olympic Games bid, John Fish.
