IOC Members Meet With Kuwaiti Head of State
A delegation composed of IOC Executive Board members as well as ANOC and OCA members, this morning was received by HH the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah at the Bayan Palace.
Members also met with Crown Prince HH Sheikh Nawaf Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as well as Prime Minister HH Sheikh Nasser Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
The IOC Executive Board meeting kicked off earlier on with a minute of silence in the memory of IOC member in Switzerland Marc Hodler who passed away last month.
In the presence of IOC member and OCA President Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, the EB received presentations on the preparations of the Asian Indoor Games to be held in Macau in 2007 and of the Asian Beach Games to be organised in Bali in 2008.
The EB is expected to receive a report from the Olympic Programme Commission this afternoon.
