IOC ignites inspiration through new TV spot

The IOC has unveiled a new TV spot that captures the dynamic human spirit synonymous with the Olympic Movement. Entitled “Inspiration without Borders”, it features archival Olympic footage intercut with shots of children practising sport, highlighting the connections between Olympic athletes and the incredibly diverse group of young people that they inspire.

The spot, which will be made available to Olympic broadcast partners worldwide as part of their promotion and coverage of the Sochi 2014 Winter Games, also is demonstrates that the appeal of the Winter Games is not limited to northern countries or places that are blanketed with snow and ice. In reality, the Winter Games are a source of inspiration to youth everywhere.

Timo Lumme, Managing Director of IOC Television & Marketing Services, said: “The ‘Inspiration without Borders’ spot demonstrates how the Olympic Games enthuse and inspire people in all corners of the world. This spot discovers everyday places where future Olympians mimic the skills and techniques of their Olympic heroes in very creative ways.  The end result is a film that conveys that the energy and spirit of the Olympic Games truly has no borders.”
