IOC EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING IN DAKAR


Lausanne, 11 January 2001 - The Executive Board (EB) of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will hold its first meeting of the year 2001 on 5, 6 and 7 February 2001 in Dakar, Senegal. The EB will hear the progress of the Organizing Committees for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City and for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens along with the reports of the IOC Commissions and working groups. Media briefings will be conducted as detailed below.

Details concerning media briefings by the Organizing Committees of the Olympic Games will be announced at a later date.

Where:
Meridien President Hotel
Amphitheatre of the Congress Hall, level 1.

Photo opportunities:
Media will be given the opportunity to film and photograph the EB meeting room each morning at 0850 before the meeting starts.

Media facilities:
A workroom with the necessary facilities will be set up in the offices C103 and C104 of the Meridien Hotel.

Accommodation:
Media representatives who wish to book accommodation can do so through the IOC.
Bookings will be made at the Meridien President Hotel (64,000 Frs CFA /Approx. 145 CHF per night, breakfast included). An accommodation request form can be downloaded from the IOC website.
