IOC Executive Board in Kuala Lumpur

LAUSANNE, Switzerland (26 April 2002) - The Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will meet in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 25 to 27 May 2002. The Executive Board will meet with the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) on 25 May to review matters of common interest, following the ANOC General Assembly held earlier in the week. The Executive Board will also receive reports on the progress made by the Organising Committees for the Games of the XXVIII Olympiad in Athens in 2004 and the XX Olympic Winter Games in Turin in 2006. Details concerning Organising Committees' press conferences will be announced at a later date. Accreditation: Media wishing to cover the meetings are requested to complete the accreditation form and return it together with a passport photo to the IOC Communications Department by 17 May 2002. Download the accreditation/accommodation form. Accreditation cards will be distributed in Kuala Lumpur by the Olympic Council of Malaysia at the airport and at the accreditation desk in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Cards will be distributed upon presentation of a valid passport and a press card. Visas: Nationals of the following countries will require a visa to enter Malaysia: Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Cuba, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, India, Israel, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Chinese Taipei and Vietnam. Nationals from countries not mentioned above do not need a visa. Media access: Executive Board room: A limited number of photographers and cameramen will be permitted to enter the Executive Board room from 25 to 27 May before the start of the meetings.
