IOC Executive Board disqualifies Muehlegg and Danilova from the Salt Lake City Games



Pursuant to the arbitral awards delivered by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on 18 December 2003, the Executive Board (EB) of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) today unanimously decided:





- the exclusion of Johann Muehlegg and Olga Danilova from the XIX Olympic Winter Games of Salt Lake City 2002, is confirmed;


- both athletes are disqualified from all cross-country skiing competitions in which they participated during at the XIX Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City 2002;


- all results obtained are annulled;


- all medals are hereby withdrawn;


- the International Ski Federation(FIS) is requested to take measures to amend the rankings accordingly as follows:


- with respect to the men's 10 km free pursuit:
