IOC decision on its vice-president Un Yong Kim


Following the recommendation of the Ethics Commission, the Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), pursuant to paragraph 4 of Rule 25.2.1.1* of the Olympic Charter, today decided unanimously to provisionally deprive Mr Un Yong Kim of all the rights, prerogatives and functions deriving from his IOC membership until the investigation under way in South Korea and the inquiry of the Ethics Commission have been finalised.

"By decision of the Executive Board, the member, Honorary President for life, honorary member or honour member concerned may, throughout the disciplinary inquiry conducted into his case, be deprived of all or part of the rights, prerogatives and functions deriving from his membership". -Paragraph 4 of Rule 25.2.1.1 of the Olympic Charter
