IOC Announces Composition of the Coordination Commission for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver




Following the recent appointment of René Fasel as Chairman of the Coordination Commission for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) today announced the full composition of the Commission.

The Coordination Commission will be responsible for assisting the Organising Committee during the seven years leading up to the Olympic Games as well as monitoring the progress of preparations. It will also act as a link between the IOC, the Organising Committee, the International Federations and the National Olympic Committees.



 



The first meeting of the Vancouver Coordination Commission is due to take place in the spring of 2004.
