IOC and ATHOC Launch the Media Accreditation Procedure for 2004

The IOC and ATHOC are launching the media accreditation procedure for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games. Each National Olympic Committee will receive notification of their quota of press accreditations from the IOC in February 2003.

Information on accreditation is now available (see links below), i.e., who is eligible to obtain credentials, how to apply for accreditation, and what the next steps in the process are. Also available are the contact names and details needed in order to obtain information on press services at the Games, such as accommodation and transport etc.

It is worth noting that, as with each edition of the Olympic Games, the number of accreditations available to the media is very limited. In order to maintain a high level of services for the world press, the International Olympic Committee will not exceed the number of accreditations allocated in 2000 for the Sydney Olympic Games.
