Interactive digital sports platform for China

On 17 November, the Chinese Olympic Committee (COC), the All-China Sports Federation (ACSF) and CITIC Pacific, a major listed conglomerate from Hong Kong, inaugurated their jointly developed interactive digital sports platform (IDPS) for China. The launch ceremony took place in central Beijing's Great Hall of the People.
Besides being the official carrier of Olympic news in China, the bilingual COC website ( aims to serve as a channel of communication with the international Olympic Movement, as well as a window on Chinese sports. The site features up-to-date information about the Olympic Games and other major international games and tournaments, the activities of the COC, information on Olympic sports, profiles of Chinese Olympians, Chinese laws and regulations related to doping in sport, as well as a rich trove of information about the Olympic Movement in China past and present.

Broadband sports and service platform
He Huixian, Vice-President of both the COC and the ACSF, described the IDSP as a large-scale integrated broadband sports service platform upon which all kinds of Internet-enabled services can be built and provided to both sports professionals and the public, such as multimedia websites, match management, cyber game tournament management, webcasting of sports events, online learning and training, and online services customised for members of the national associations of the 98 sports fostered by the Chinese sports authorities.
