In addition to the “Believe in Sport” activations in the Youth Olympic Village, the IOC teamed up with the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF),  the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (IBSF) and the International Luge Federation (FIL) to organise educational sessions on the topic of competition manipulation during the Games.

Almost all YOG athletes and their coaches in these sports attended compact, customised 45-minute sessions, which provided the participants with interactive quizzes, conversations with athlete ambassadors and short presentations.

The aim was, once again, to raise awareness about the threat of competition manipulation and offer solutions to athletes and their entourage members on how to protect themselves. It proved impactful to gather together athletes and coaches of one sport and have the time to go through scenarios and questions relevant to their specific context.
