How to... protect the environment


Environmental protection is a crucial issue that affects us all and sport has an important role to play in raising awareness and setting an example.

At the 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore, the young athletes learnt about the small things they can do in their everyday lives to protect the world around them, from recycling water bottles, to taking shorter showers.

As this video shows, it’s not about grand gestures; the littlest things can have the biggest impact. It’s about everybody doing their bit to create a cleaner planet for future generations to enjoy.
