From 15 to 22 April at the Olympic Museum: Festival of the mind


Over three evenings mixing sport and living art, the general public will discover the importance of the mind in achieving a successful performance, be it sporting or artistic.

Tuesday 17 April: Team performance, the effect of the group on the mind. Guests: Georges-André Carrel, Director of the Sport Section at the UNIL; Jon Ferguson, basketball coach; Gil Montandon, hockey player; Jean-Pierre Althaus, theatre director of l’Octogone; Michel Gascard, ballet master, Rudra Béjart School-Workshop; Elisabeth Laurent, danser and former member of the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève; and Hervé Klopfenstein, artistic director.


Wednesday 18 April: Faced with an opponent, or solo, what is a performance? Guests: Jakob Hlasek, former tennis player; Magali Messmer, triathlete; Pierre Amoyal, violonist; Yvette Théraulaz, actress and singer; and Marc Donnet-Monay, comedian. With the participation of Christophe Gallaz, writer and philosopher.

Thursday 19 April: The body in danger. The being in danger. Guests: Chantal Bournissen, skier; Gilles Jaquet, snowboarder; Rémy Julienne, stuntman; Nicolas Bonstein, musician (improvisation); and Yves Rossy, flying man.
