End of Executive Board - first day
The afternoon session of the EB continued with the presentation of reports from several Commissions' Chairmen. The IOC President presented the report of the TV and Internet Rights Commission , Thomas Bach for the Juridical Commission, and Gerhard Heiberg for the Marketing.
Following the report of the Executive Director of the Olympic Games, Gilbert Felli, the EB proceeded to the drawing lots for the order of presentation of 2012 applicant cities. The following order will be applied during any Olympic event or meeting: Paris – Leipzig - New York – Moscow – Istanbul – Havana – London - Madrid – Rio de Janeiro.
Regarding the calendar leading up to the election of the 2012 Host City, the official acceptance by the EB of the candidate cities will be on 18 May 2004. The report of the IOC Evaluation Commission will be available one month before the election of the Host City at the 117th IOC Session in Singapore in 2005.
The new Director of the Olympic Museum, Francis Gabet has been officially introduced to the EB members. The afternoon session concluded with a meeting of the Board of the Olympic Museum Foundation.
