When it comes to preparation, competition and recovery, the importance of nutrition and proper eating is vital for an athlete’s performance.


Join the athletes at Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games in this video as they learn about healthy cooking in an interactive workshop as part of the Learn and Share programme. Learn simple cooking skills as well as some of the do’s and don’ts!

We caught up with sports nutritionist Jenna Ballam and the athletes and coaches of the New Zealand hockey team in order to find out how important the role of nutrition is in their performance, take a look!
