Big success for the IOC’s on line competition “Torino 2006”


The IOC's on-line competition on the Olympic Movement web site www.olympic.org attracted a total of 28,052 participants from all five continents.  Launched on www.olympic.org on 10 February, the day of the Opening Ceremony of the XX Olympic Winter Games in Turin, the competition ended on 15 March. The 250 lucky winners of the official video game “Torino 2006” were drawn by lot and announced today.

To win the official video game of the Olympic Games available on PC, Xbox or Playstation 2, the competitors had to complete four questions (see below), the answers to which could be found on www.olympic.org.

With the Torino 2006 video game, the lucky winners will dive into the heart of the greatest sports competition in the world and will try to win the gold medal in the seven sports on the Olympic programme: biathlon, bobsleigh, curling, ice hockey, luge, skating and skiing!
