Beijing 2008: Archery Olympic qualification complete


The final 10 berths for the Olympic archery tournament have been earned during the last Olympic qualification event - the World Cup Stage 4 in Boe (France). The International Archery Federation (FITA) has now issued the full list of the 2008 Olympic Qualifications Places for men and women. All places have been accepted by the 49 National Olympic Committees concerned. The final deadline for names entries is set for 23 July 2008.
 
A perfect parity in Beijing
In Beijing, the archery tournament will comprise two events for men and two for women, both individual and team competition. Sixty-four women archers will compete from 9 to 14 August. Their 64 male counterparts will also start the same day, finishing their competitions on 15 August. The archery event will be held at the Olympic Green Archery Field, one of the eight temporary venues of the Beijing Olympic Games.
