All you need is you this Olympic Day!
“Olympic” June is here once again and with it comes Olympic Day celebrated on the 23rd, the date on which the modern Olympic Games were revived in 1894. But don’t wait for Olympic Day to get out and get moving! The International Olympic Committee (IOC) encourages everyone, everywhere to get active throughout the month and share their sporting moments using #olympicday for a chance to win a trip for two to Rio ahead of next summer’s Olympic Games.
Spurred on by a raft of Olympic Day activities organised by National Olympic Committees and International Federations, millions of people around the world are getting active during the month of June.
Need some inspiration? Check out this video of Olympic champion and YOG Ambassador Lindsey Vonn, who swapped her skis for a sled. And stay tuned to see how Olympians Kjetil Jansrud, Chad Le Clos and Flávio Canto, among others, took up our challenge to get active and try something new.
Need more inspiration? The IOC is offering a chance to win a trip for two to Rio de Janeiro in December for a sneak peak of the Olympic Park ahead of next summer’s Olympic Games. To enter, get active, capture the moment with a photo or video, and share it with us using the hashtag #OLYMPICDAY. The contest will run all month, from 1 to 30 June.
