Agora: All about sailing

Agora: All about sailing
Wednesday 26 September at 6.30 p.m.
Olympic Museum
Presenter: Jean-Philippe Rapp
They defended their trophy fiercely; they fought, won and made us dream. They are members of the Alinghi team. They are creatures of the deep ocean - who learned to sail on Lake Geneva. By what kind of alchemy does this lake produce so many talented sailors?
The victories are the fruits of the combined work of great sailors, constructors and scientists.
Going beyond the challenge met and the record beaten, we shall learn about sailing of the future, a subtle blend of seafarers’ dreams, mastery, competence, courage and technology.

- Alain Gautier, Stève Ravussin and Dominique Wavre, yachtsmen
Yves Detrey, Luc Dubois, Nils Frei et Christian Karcher, the Alinghi Team
- Professor Jan-Anders Manson and Pascal Vuilliomenet, from the EPFL
Bertrand Cardis, constructor and Director of Décision SA.
This Agora is organised as part of the exhibition Sailing the World, which is on show at the Olympic Museum from 20 September 2007 to 6 January 2008.

Reservations required at: or by telephoning 021 621 65 11 until 7 September.
