2011 Mini Stars Relay – Sunday 26 June 2011

Record participation and best weather ever for the 6th edition of the Mini Stars Relay, held in brilliant sunshine in The Olympic Museum Park!

On Sunday 26 June, over 70 teams, made up of girls and boys and numerous family members, took part in the Mini Stars Relay, transforming, for this occasion and for the sixth consecutive year, the Olympic Museum gardens into a sporting amusement park. This 2011 edition saw record participation!

Fifty-four seconds was the record set this year for running a distance similar to that of an Olympic stadium. A very young participant even ran the relay with an arm in plaster.

Three of the winning teams, drawn at random, had the privilege of presenting a prize to the stars of Athlétissima on 30 June at the Pontaise Stadium.

The families and children who took part in this wonderful hot and sunny day were also able to enjoy the presence of Swiss athletes Clélia Reuse (100m hurdles) and Pascal Mancini (100m and 4x100m relay), as well as France’s Vincent Defrasne (Olympic medallist in Turin in 2006 and world biathlon champion), who opened the relay with his two children.

Congratulations to all the participants!
