"Burton Morris: The Spirit of the Game"
From 24 June to 31 October 2004, the Olympic Museum Lausanne will be holding an exhibition entitled “Burton Morris:The Spirit of the Game”, consisting of a selection of artwork by the renowned American artist, a leading figure in the “New Pop” art movement.
The Ancient Games, Olympic Symbols and Olympic Athletes
The exhibition “Burton Morris: The Spirit of the Game” presents over 30 original artworks inspired by three themes related to Olympism: the Ancient Games, Olympic symbols and Olympic athletes. He has used these topics to bring the Olympic spirit alive through his artistic interpretation.
From Warhol to "New Pop"
