Korean Corner - “When Tigers Smoked Pipes”

“Once upon a time,” or, as Koreans say, “When tigers smoked pipes”… Make yourself comfortable in Korean Corner, where you can read and listen to stories, try out Korean board games and engage in DIY design activities using the PyeongChang Games emblems.

Samulnori workshop with the NOREUM MACHI Company

Sunday 11 February at 2 p.m.
Learn about the shamanic rituals and the typical samulnori costumes and instruments, and become experts in K-Trap - traditional Korean rap - with a troupe that has come specially all the way from Seoul!

“The K-Wind” musical concert by the NOREUM MACHI Company

Powerful percussion, animist chants, dazzling acrobatic dances and boundless energy… Led by virtuoso performer Kim Juhong, the troupe masterfully blends traditional music and K-pop, and has brought the joyful zeal of Korean samulnori to venues all over the world.
