Museums Night 2019
From 2 p.m. until late into the night, come and enjoy the activities on offer for this sporty new Lausanne 2020 YOG-themed edition!
The programme includes unusual visits with disabled and able-bodied athletes, contemporary dance performances by the Compagnie Linga, cultural workshops and a massive Instagram competition on the day to win a gold medal!
Instagram Photo Contest
During your visit, in response to our temporary exhibition We are Olympians, and You? take a pose to put yourself in the shoes of an Olympian by taking the Museum or the park as a setting; post your creation on your Instagram account with the #olympicspiritndmlp and add the @olympicmuseum identification.
The three most popular and themed photos will be rewarded with great Olympic prizes on display at the Museum.

Winners will be announced the week following the event.

3, 2, 1… Family visit – ages 6 and over
Get your shorts and trainers on! Lausanne-Sport Athlétisme is inviting you to take part in a sportier visit than normal. Take advantage of this chance to learn about running like a professional.

- When: 3 p.m., 5 p.m., 7 p.m., 9 p.m.

Creative workshop: Feel like an athlete
Use the magic of the green screen for a photo of yourself as an athlete.
- Where: Studio, level +1
- When: 2 p.m.-11 p.m. non-stop
Creative workshop: “Added value” - for families, ages 6 and over
Become an ambassador for a subject close to your heart. Choose your favourite value, then cut out, glue, colour and personalise a badge which will be as unique as you are!
- Where: Gym, level 0
- When: 2-11 p.m. non-stop
Dance show: Performance by the Compagnie Linga
The Compagnie Linga will be back at The Olympic Museum, with a performance that explores the close links between sporting achievements, artistic movements and choreography.

- When: 4 p.m., 6 p.m., 8 p.m. (length 20’)
Japanese tea: Presentation and tasting
Discover the world of Japanese tea with Emiko Okamoto, Japanese tea ambassador in Switzerland. Taste some green tea and tea-flavoured treats!

Ikebana demonstration
By the Ikenobō, Sōgetsu and Ichiyō schools

Micro-visits
On your marks, get set, go for a 20-minute tour of the temporary exhibition, during which our guides will tell you some surprising and inspiring stories along the way.

Special visits
Open to everyone, these visits are a fantastic opportunity to discover The Museum in a new way:
- Two-voice visit with a disabled athlete, in partnership with Proinfirmis 2 p.m. - Focus, level +1
- Visit in Tigrigna (a language of Eritrea), in partnership with the Lausanne Immigration Office 4 p.m. – Hall, level 0
- Visit for visually impaired people, in partnership with l’Art d’Inclure 3 p.m. – Auditorium, level 0
Discussions and Challenges
When you leave the temporary exhibition, stop in our participation area to answer the questions and take up the challenges shown on the cards you will find there.
