Seoul Olympic Museum

The Seoul Olympic Museum was opened in 1990 to keep alive the memory of the hugely successful 1988 Seoul Olympics and to inspire future generations with the Olympic spirit. The museum recreates the excitement and emotion of the Olympics, offering a wide variety of exhibitions full of information about sport and culture. It makes extensive use of digital technologies, embracing the new opportunities offered by the 21st century.

Exhibits include torches, medals, pins, posters, mascots, scarves, stamps and coins that commemorate past Olympics. All these items have become a part of Olympic culture, history and art, helping promote the Olympic ideal and economy in local communities and across the world.
