Why did I want to be a member of the IOC Athletes’ Commission?
I wanted to contribute the knowledge and experience I have gained through my own sporting career to improve the experience for my fellow sportsmen and sportswomen.
It is important to continue developing sport where the athlete is the central focus, especially at the Olympic Games. I have always been passionate about the Olympic values and working for a sport free from doping.
What do the Olympic Games mean to me?
I remember watching the Olympics when I was young and being inspired by the great Carl Lewis.
Role in the AC
My focus is to keep the athlete at the heart of our work. It is great to contribute the knowledge and experience I have gained through my own sporting career, on projects such as communications to athletes.
