Why did I want to be a member of the IOC Athletes’ Commission?
I wanted to contribute the knowledge and experience I have gained through my own sporting career to improve the experience for my fellow sportsman and sportswoman.
It is important to continue developing sport where the athlete is the central focus, especially at the Olympic Games. I have always been passionate about the Olympic values and working for a sport free of doping and cheaters.
What do the Olympic Games mean to me?
I remember watching the Olympics when I was young and being inspired by the great Carl Lewis.
