Quote Why did I want to be a member of the IOC Athletes’ Commission?
Being the sole rider representative on the UCI BMX Commission for a whole Olympic cycle has been an awesome experience, and I wanted to take this a step further and join the IOC Athletes’ Commission.
I enjoy the challenges and challenging others when it comes to finding solutions and deciding on the direction of the sport. I want to represent the voices of the athletes and take ideas from all around New Zealand and Oceania to grow the impact of the Olympics and what they can achieve.
What do the Olympic Games mean to me?
Inspiration. Dedication. Challenge. Courage. Friendship. Excitement. Nerves. Enjoyment. Excellence. Adversity. Progress.
Role in the AC
The Olympic Movement is about having the courage to be the best version of yourself. It’s a privilege to represent the athlete voice, and I’m focused on improving the way we interact with as many athletes as possible.
