Why did I want to be a member of the IOC Athletes’ Commission?
I wanted to become a member of the IOC Athletes’ Commission because I believe that the athletes, as the most important part, need to be well represented. Nobody is better than athletes themselves to ¬fight for the rights of those who are the essence of the Games.

What do the Olympic Games mean to me?
The Olympics are the most special sporting event in the world, and it has been an honour to win a gold medal and be a flagbearer for my country. As a kid, it was always a dream to compete at the Games, and to do it on three occasions is amazing.

Role in the AC
I’m an Ambassador for the Youth Olympic Games, which is an honour, as the next YOG is in my home town, Buenos Aires. I want to help reach and inspire young people to get active, as they’re the future generation of Olympians
