Career

Pedro Yang competed in badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympic in men’s singles. He moved to Denmark at the age of 24 to pursue better badminton training facilities. After he retired in 2011, he has been coaching at a club level in Denmark, and also works in consulting/managing young players from Monterrey, Mexico in the offseason.

Pedro has won four medals in 5 editions of the Pan am Games as well as 11 medals in 3 editions of the Central American and Caribbean Games. His best ranking in men’s singles was #32 in the world back in 2002. Pedro was appointed to the International Olympic Committee’s Athletes Commission in 2008 and also served in the Radio and TV commission until 2013 and in 2014 he was appointed to the Entourage Commission. Pedro has also been a member of the World Badminton’s Athletes commission since it was first installed in 2007.
