The torches, medals and sports equipment which have marked the Summer Games
BERLIN TORCH
The Museum features a complete collection of Olympic torches used for both Summer and Winter Games.
This collection is the only one of its kind in the world. The first Olympic torch relay was organised for the 1936 Games in Berlin.
The tradition of the Olympic torch relay is still with us. To remind us of the important role of fire in both human and Olympic history, a flame burns constantly on the esplanade of this Museum.
