Everyone can participate in the Games.
At each Olympic Games, thousands of people sharing the Olympic Movement's values join the Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (OCOG). Together with the athletes they make the Games.
60,000 volunteers from around the world will be trained for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Athens in 2004. They will take part in the maintenance of venues, the supervision of events, hospitality and orientation of both visitors and athletes, transport, logistics, etc.
Applications forms are available to any individual who wishes to participate, of whatever nationality. The only condition is being 18 years old by the time of the Games.
The candidates whose profile best fits the required posts are offered a place in the Organising Committee. They must then follow a training course. The training completed, 15,000 of them will participate in the test events in 2003. Finally, the volunteers will receive their accreditation, uniform and any necessary equipment.
