Turin 2006: Licensing
Italy created both a numismatic coin programme as well as the Torino 2006 philatelic programme. For the former, 40 million €2 circulating Olympic coins were issued by La Zecca, the mint of Italy, while a series of seven stamps – six celebrating the host cities and one the mascots – comprised the latter. Nine additional stamps were then issued at the start of the Games.
