Daimler AG: Ground Transport

Daimler provides transport for all IOC operations in Switzerland and the various meetings around the world (outside the Olympic host countries). In addition to the IOC's direct needs, Mercedes provides the IOC, through Olympic Solidarity, with 50 minibuses for a special sports aid programme to National Olympic Committees (NOCs) in developing countries. Daimler has been an IOC supplier since 1991.

Mizuno: Clothing

Mizuno provides the clothing/outfits for the IOC and administrative staff at the Olympic Games and other events. Mizuno was a Gold Sponsor for the Olympic Games in Nagano and is a sponsor of The Olympic Museum in Lausanne.

Sydney 2000: Sponsorship

Despite the host country marketplace being 15 times smaller than that of Atlanta 1996, domestic sponsorship for Sydney 2000 generated US$492 million more revenue, making it the most financially successful programme in Olympic history. A new standard for brand protection through education, legislation and advertising controls was also introduced

The Olympic Partner (TOP) programme

McDonald's

McDonald's became an official sponsor of the Olympic Games in 1976 and has a longstanding commitment to the Olympic Movement. At the 1968 Olympic Winter Games, McDonald's airlifted hamburgers to U.S. athletes competing in Grenoble, France, who reported they were homesick for McDonald's food. Since then, the company has served its menu of choice and variety to millions of athletes, their families and fans. In 2004, McDonald's announced the continuation of its TOP sponsorship for the next eight consecutive years through the 2012 Games.
