Thank you, Nanjing!

01/09/2014

Check out our exclusive video montage in which the athletes of the second Youth Olympic Games bid their farewells to Nanjing.

During the 13 days of the second Youth Olympic Games, young athletes from 201 NOCs converged on Nanjing to compete in 28 different sports. In true Olympic spirit, it was a melting pot of nationalities and cultures, and as rich and varied a sporting menu as you could ever hope to see.

The Chinese host city served up a feast, not just of sporting excitement, but of cultural and educational experiences that are sure to remain etched in the memories of the 3,800 teenagers who lit up the field of play, not to mention all those around the world who followed the action.

And before bidding farewell to their hosts, athletes from all five continents took time to deliver a heartfelt and unanimous message: “THANK YOU Nanjing!”
