In true YOG style, Worldwide Olympic Partners have cranked up the music level a notch or two with their music star guest-list for this summer’s Youth Olympic Games (YOG), which take place in Nanjing next month.
First up will be EXO, the k-pop phenomenon whose music videos top 40m views on YouTube alone, who will get Nanjing pumping with their music performances, live appearances and digital campaigns. As part of Samsung’s “Live the Beats, Love the Games” campaign, these brand ambassadors along with Chinese music stars will bring together music and sport at the YOG with a series of concerts in Nanjing for fans and athletes to enjoy.
Coca-Cola is also feeling the vibe with its Sprite Music event, which took place last week in the Jiangsu Province to help promote the forthcoming Nanjing 2014 YOG. In a “classical music relay” from Singapore 2010 to Nanjing 2014, the concert featured musician JJ Lin, a torchbearer for the first YOG, who played alongside 21-year-old Nanjing pianist Tim Zhang, in a performance for 7,000 fans.
