Rio 2016 launches Olympic Day 2012 competition

The Olympic Day celebrations are a key date in the international calendar, when communities all over the world take part in sporting activities. Now Rio 2016, the host of the next Summer Olympic Games after London, has launched an exciting competition in the run-up to this year’s celebration of Olympic Day. Pin collectors, get your cameras ready!

As part of the build-up to Olympic Day, people can  win one of 10 Olympic pins. To be in with a chance, participants must simply ‘Like’ Rio's Olympic Instant competition page on Facebook and then send a photo of a favourite Olympic sport.

The photos will be displayed in the gallery and the owners of the 10 most popular photographs by the closing date will receive an exclusive Olympic pin.

The competition offers an excellent opportunity to get active with friends and family, but hurry – the deadline is 22 June 2012.
