Today, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) officially launched the bidding process for the third edition of the Winter Youth Olympic Games, to be held in 2020.
Each National Olympic Committee can nominate one city to enter the bidding process by the deadline of 28 November 2013.
The IOC will then announce a shortlist of candidate cities in December 2014, and these will be further evaluated before facing the final hurdle – the election of the host city in May or June 2015.
More information related to the Youth Olympic Games and the 2020 bid process can be found here.
And don’t forget: The election of the host city for the 3rd Summer Youth Olympic Games in 2018 will take place on 4 July, and you can follow it live on Olympic.org.
