Learning from the best at Innsbruck 2012

25/09/2012

If you could meet your idol what would you say? At the first Winter Youth Olympic Games, Innsbruck 2012, the young athletes got the unique opportunity to not only meet, but also sit down and chat with successful Olympians: the Athlete Role Models.

Over 30 stars from the world of sport, including US Olympic ice hockey champion Angela Ruggiero, French biathlon gold medallist Vincent Defrasne and Ukrainian pole vault legend Sergey Bubka, came to Innsbruck to share their experience, advice and stories with the Olympians of tomorrow.

To learn from the best was a once-in-a-lifetime experience the athletes did not take for granted, and there were a few surprises along the way too... Who knew Swiss figure skater Stéphane Lambiel could sing! Check out this film for the video evidence...
