International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach cheered on teams from Australia and the Netherlands in the women’s final of the Hockey World Cup at The Hague, Netherlands.

Describing a 'very well organized' event with a 'great sporting atmosphere' the President praised the spirit of the crowd which saw the more numerous Dutch fans cheering their rival Australian supporters. The Netherlands eventually went on to win the match 2-0.

On Sunday,  President Bach met with King Willem-Alexander, a former IOC member.
The two discussed Olympic Agenda 2020, the strategic roadmap for the future of the Olympic movement. They also touched on the future plans for an Olympic TV channel and the closer cooperation of the IOC with the United Nations, with secretary General Ban Ki-Moon set to visit the IOC headquarters in Lausanne later this week.

President Bach was accompanied by IOC member in Holland Camiel Eurlings, International Hockey Federation (FIH) President Leandro Negre, Dutch National Olympic Committee President Andre Bolhuis, and IOC Sports Director Kit McConnell.
