IOC Executive Board meeting in March 2012 – Information for the media

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board (EB) will meet in Lausanne on 13 and 14 March 2012. 

On the first day, the EB will hear reports by the IOC commissions and receive updates on the activities of the IOC administration. On day two, the EB will receive updates on preparations for the forthcoming Olympic Games, London 2012, Sochi 2014, Rio de Janeiro 2016 and PyeongChang 2018.

The EB will also hear a post-Games report on the first Winter Youth Olympic Games, which took place in Innsbruck in January 2012 and learn about preparations for the second Summer Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing in 2014.

Media representatives wishing to cover the meetings are requested to confirm their attendance via the IOC website (please see below).

Please note that accreditations are being processed online. Media representatives wishing to cover the meetings are requested to register by Friday 9 March on the IOC website.

If you have already registered for previous meetings, please connect to your profile with your e-mail address and tick the box for the March 2012 Executive Board meeting.

Press Conference: teleconference call and playback

Media representatives who will not travel to Lausanne will have the possibility of listening to the President’s press conference live on 14 March by teleconference.

Please contact the IOC Communications Department one day in advance to confirm the time of the press briefing and press conference.

Media representatives will also have the opportunity to access the audio recording of the President’s press conference on 14 March one hour after it takes place, and for a period of 24 hours. Depending on where they are calling from, participants requesting the digital playback should dial:
