In exactly 200 days the first Winter Youth Olympic Games will open in spectacular style in Innsbruck, Austria, with an all-singing, all-dancing opening ceremony.
With over 1,000 elite young athletes from all over the world competing across seven sport and 15 disciplines, these Games promise to offer 10-days of record-breaking, adreline-fuelled competition.
Preparations are well underway, with Olympic champion skiier Lindsey Vonn already onboard as a YOG Ambassador, Yoggl the mascot spreading the word and the final touches being added to the Culture and Education Programme which will run simultaneously to the Games.
Innsbruck 2012 CEO Peter Bayer said: “The vision of the Youth Olympic Games is within touching distance, and the whole team is working with incredible enthusiasm. Every single person can feel the fascination of this major sporting event and is living the Olympic Spirit!”
