Norway's first Olympic Alpine medallist in 40 years

Three months before the 1992 Albertville Winter Games, Kjetil André Aamodt was hospitalised with mononucleosis. Yet despite losing 11kg, he managed to recover in time to claim gold in the super G and bronze in the giant slalom. This made him Norway's first Olympic Alpine medallist in 40 years.
