Professor of philology and Mongolian literature (1953-1957); teacher (1946-1953) then secondary school headmaster (1957-1958); Secretary of the Party Committee (1958-1960); Vice-Director of the Department of the Party Central Committee (1960-1965); General Secretary of the Central Soviet of Trade Unionists of Mongolia and President of the Central Committee of Culture and Education workers’ trade union (1965-1969); director and CEO of a porcelain factory (1978-1991); three times elected parliamentary representative

Sports administration
President of the NOC (1969-1979) and of the Central Council of the Union for Physical Education and Sports (1969-1978); member of the NOC Executive Board (1965-); President-founder of the National Olympic Academy (1996-); founder of the National Olympic Museum (1987) and Library (1984); head of the Mongolian delegation to the Olympic Winter Games in Sapporo (1972), Sarajevo (1984), Calgary (1988) and Lillehammer (1994) and to the Games of the Olympiad in Munich (1972) and Montreal (1976); Honorary Doctorate of the Mongolian University for physical culture and sport; Advisory Council Member of the WTF (1998-); President of the Mongolian Society of Olympic History (2009-)
