Information for the media – 2020 Candidate Cities Briefing for IOC Members and 2013 Extraordinary IOC Session in July in Lausanne
The 2020 Candidate City Briefing for IOC Members and the Extraordinary Session for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Host City Election will take place in Lausanne on 3 and 4 July 2013.
2020 Candidate Cities Briefing for IOC Members – 3 July 2013

The purpose of this briefing is to permit the 2020 Cities to inform all IOC voting members on the technical aspects of their bid and to give IOC members an opportunity to put questions to the Cities on their bids prior to the 125th IOC Session, which is set to take place in September in Buenos Aires.

Please note that the briefings made by the Candidate Cities to the IOC members on 3 July at the Palais de Beaulieu will be closed to the media. However, video footage (approximately 30 seconds) of each delegation inside the room before they start their respective presentations will be made available on site. Photos will be pooled and also made available upon request.

On 4 July, each City will have a separate room in the Lausanne Palace Hotel where it can display models, show bid videos, answer questions, etc. In the morning, IOC members will visit each City’s presentation room from 8.30 to 11.00 a.m. The rooms will then be open to the media from 11.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m.
