The Samsung Olympic Games Media Art Collection was today officially opened with a private viewing hosted by the Worldwide Olympic Partner at London’s Spencer House.

The Media Art Collection -  “Blue Crystal Ball” – is the latest initiative of Samsung’s “Everyone’s Olympic Games” campaign and is part of the official programme of the London Cultural Olympiad. The exhibition features contemporary video artworks created to embrace the Olympic spirit and enrich the Olympic experience for everyone.

During London 2012, the Samsung Global Bloggers - approximately 75 inspiring young individuals - will report “live” from the competition venues and locations of cultural and visitor interest, and share their unique perspectives of the Olympic Games. Exclusive content and experiences will be captured and shared with Olympic fans and social media networks around the world using Samsung’s mobile technologies.

Samsung’s association with the Olympic Movement began almost 25 years ago when the company became a local sponsor of the Seoul 1988 Olympic Games. Since the Nagano 1998 Olympic Winter Games, the company has been a Worldwide Olympic Partner in the Wireless Communications Equipment category, providing its proprietary wireless communications platform.
