The Code of Ethics has been updated as set out in the Olympic Charter.

2013 edition of the IOC Code of Ethics

The Code of Ethics has been updated as set out in the Olympic Charter.

Since the first edition of the Code of Ethics was published in 1999, several modifications have been adopted in order to respond to the evolutions in the world of sport, in particular the issues of betting on Olympic Games competitions and the universal principles of good governance.

This latest edition groups together the Code of Ethics itself with the various implementing provisions, for example the directions concerning the election of the IOC President, the rules concerning conflicts of interest or the Basic Principles of Good Governance.

In view of the launch of the candidature procedure for the 2022 Olympic Winter Games, the Rules of Conduct Applicable to All Cities Wishing to Organise the Olympic Games were approved by the IOC Executive Board in February 2013.
