Coordination Commissions for the Olympic Games

International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach has appointed IOC Vice-President John Coates as Chairman of the Coordination Commission for the Games of the XXXII Olympiad ­- Tokyo 2020.

Rio 2016 working to deliver lasting legacy Wrapping-up its fifth visit to Rio de Janeiro, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Coordination Commission underlined the strong progress being made towards delivering a lasting legacy from the 2016 Games. With less than three years remaining until the Games begin, the Organising Committee and its Government partners were able to show the Commission that legacy planning and its delivery were well underway.
