Didier Defago has competed in three Olympic Games (Salt Lake City 2002, Turin 2006 and Vancouver 2010), as well as five World Championships (2001, 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009).
In 2009, he got his name in the Alpine skiing World Cup history books by becoming one of three Swiss to win the double of the Lauberhorn in Wengen and the legendary “Streif”, the steepest run on the circuit, in Kitzbühel, Austria.
On 15 February 2010, he won the Olympic downhill in Vancouver.
